MAYAN MEDICINE AND BELIEFS
The Maya believed the Earth
to be flat and four-
corned.
They
had at last 166 named deties.
Priests
were also doctors who cured the diseases created by Evil espirits
entering the bodies.
One
of the most used medicine was a hot,bitter,firthy drink made of
ground cacao beans and quite similar to chocolate used to cure
diseases including diarrhea and fatigue .
